The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Foundation announces the accessibility-related programming and exhibits at CES 2018, which will take place January 9-12 in Las Vegas.
CTA Foundation will host two panels: Living Independently in Smart Homes, focusing on smart home technologies; and Accessible Self Driving: Innovations for Independence, focusing on self-driving vehicles.
Also on display, per a media release from CTA, will be a pilot of the AccessibleOlli, an accessible self-driving vehicle.
“The CTA Foundation is proud to support companies working to help seniors and those with disabilities,” says Steve Ewell, executive director, CTA Foundation, in the release.
“Whether it is in IoT, smart homes, robotics, health and fitness, vehicle tech, smart cities or any of the other innovative, breakthrough technologies at CES, we’re excited to see technology enabling independence for people of all ages and abilities across the show,” he adds.
Per the release the CTA Foundation is a national organization that aims to link seniors and people with disabilities with technologies designed to enhance their lives.
